I value your privacy

I limit the tools I use that would attempt to track you. I care more about what pages are useful than who you are.

This site uses a self-hosted instance of Umami to count visits, clicks, and the occasional “hey, someone clicked the RSS link!” kind of thing. It doesn’t collect personal data, doesn’t use cookies, and honestly couldn’t pick you out of a crowd. All analytics data stays in my own database — nothing gets sent to a third party.

Here’s what I track:

• Outbound links (to see what’s useful)
• The RSS feed (because I’m curious)
• Newsletter links (so I know if anyone reads them)
• Visits with UTM tags (like from Instagram or a newsletter)
• Read-through events (so I know which posts people actually finish reading)

I also collect information if — and only if — you choose to share it with me (for example, when you fill out a contact form). And if you do, I don’t share it with anyone. I only use it to provide the service you’re requesting (or just to reply).

Basically, I don’t use cookies. All cookies are yours. Also, here, have a glass of milk 🍪🥛
